Operation Write Home Midweek Throwdown: Masculine Card / Any Theme

Hi all,

Operation Write Home’s  Challenge for it Midweek Throwdown is Masculine Cards any theme.  They are in need of some missing you cards.  I decided to use this SVGCutting files image for my card.  I love the SVG Cutting files images.  They are very easy to assemble. I used the cut and print feature on my Cameo to make the sentiment.     I made several of these cards to add to my box of cards for the troops.

Operation Write Home is a non-profit organization that sends handmade blank cards to the troops so they can write home to their love ones.

Operation Write Home VCMP Final Challenge

Hi, The final challenge is to use a negative of a die or punch.

2013-08-13 07.58.13I used the negative cut of my shape on the butterfly paper and stamped my sentiment in the space created when I taped it onto my card. I used a Martha Stewart stamp for the butterfly, colored it with Tombow Dual Brush pens and hand cut it out.

Get Well Card for Lesson 1 of Clean & Simple Card Making On Line Class

Hi.

I am taking the On Line Class Clean and Simple Card Making. Today I made a get well card for a friend using the strategy taught in lesson 1.  I made my own mask using my silhouette cameo. It cuts extremely well especially for all the tiny cuts in this 2013-02-05 13.59.03cut. I think it might have been one of the freebies that came with my silhouette cameo. I used Tim Holtz lavender distress ink for the mask and sentiment.

I am loving this class and all the new strategies I am learning. The videos are well done and they include PDF if you want to have a paper copy.

I think my friend will enjoy this card. I hope it brightens her day.

Male birthday card and OWH challenge using Silhouette

Hi,

Here is another birthday card I made for the OWH birthday challenge. I find male themed cards very hard to make. I think this one works great for a male birthday card. I used my silhouette and the print and cut feature to create the car card.  I purchased the car shape card from silhouette online store. If you haven’t tried the cut and print feature, I highly recommend giving it a go. There are 2013-02-04 14.42.112013-02-04 14.41.43a lot of videos on you tube that explain how it works. It really is very easy. The stamps for my card are from Close to My Heart. I paper pieced them on the card. I really like the way the card came out and plan on making one for my brother-in-law with his name on the license plate instead of USA.

Challenge #139 -Snow
Our challenge this week is to provide inspiration for those snowy days ahead.   I decided to use the cricut Winter Frolic cartridge and create a card for the holidays.  I cut my snowman at 3 inches and used a Martha Stewart punch for the snowflakes on the first one and a My Creative Time die for the second.  I added stickels to the flakes to give them some sparkle.  I used some KI memories paper that I had in my stash. I think the cards came out cute and plan on making a few more to send to my friends.

Halloween card using Cricut Paper Pups

Halloween card using Paper Pups cricut cartridge

Hi,
Here is another Halloween card. I used Cricut Paper Pups. I cut the flying pup witch at 2 inches high. I used Martha Stewart Halloween paper from last year. The bats are stickers from Recollections. The haunted house is a Studio 112 stamp I got from the dollar bin at Joanns.
Sorry for the poor pic quality. It looks better in person.

Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog Trains, Planes and Automobiles

Hi all,

I am loving this wonderful weather here in NJ.  I was inspired to create this card for the Fantabulous Cricut Challenge when I watched some neighbor children skateboarding today.  We were to create a card using a form of transportation.  I did not want to do the usual modes of travel so I thought skateboarding would be a great alternative.  Hope you enjoy it.  I used the cricut cartridge Everyday Paper Dolls and CTMH stamp It’s Your Day for the sentiment.
