Candy Canes and Square1 Printable

Hi all,

Well I have made my first Christmas Decoration–Candy Canes using Square1 Masterpiece Printable-see more info here http://shop.square1masterpiece.com/?Click=657. The printable material is also removable.   The candy canes were a freebie from Miss Kate Cuttables.  I used the print and cut feature on my Cameo and the  silhouette DE vinyl setting to cut it out.  They peeled off their backing easily. When the holidays are over, I can remove them from the candle holders and save them for next year.  It is important to keep the backing sheet so you can place them back on it for storage.candycanes candle20141118_164733 candycane candle holder20141118_164743

Santa and Snowman envelope bags

Hi all,

My daughter asked if I could make some Holiday gift envelopes for her. I found these adorable Santa and Snowman short envelope bags in the Silhouette store.  They go together easily.  Good thing since she needs around 60 of them.

Christmas Kitsch by Anna Griffin Reindeer Card

Hi all,

I am loving the Anna Griffin Christmas Kitsch cartridge.  Today I made the reindeer shape card.  He is so cute.   However, I felt he needed a little something else.  So I found the string of tangled lights on the Winter Frolic Cricut Cartridge.

reindeer 1 20141029_204050 reindeer 4 20141029_204211 reindeer 2 20141029_204119 reindeer 3 20141029_204134   I sized everything to 5.5 so it will fit in an A2 size envelope.  There are envelopes on the cartridge but I haven’t tried them yet.  I added lots of  red stickels to his nose and scarf.   I also used gold wink of stella glitter brush for his ears and face.  The sentiment is also from the Christmas Kitsch cartridge.  I cut it at 2 inches.  The paper is from a 6×6 pack I got at ACMoore.

Anna Griffin Christmas Kitsch Cards

Hi all,

I was asked about how I made these cards using Anna Griffin’s Christmas Kitsch cartridge and my Cricut.   First,  I have an expression so I use CCR.  On the bottom of CCR , there is a default setting of 2.5 for bringing all images to the mat.  I changed that to 5.5.  Then when I bring my images to the mat- they all will fit appropriately.   I first cut out the card base and then cut all the corresponding layers.  Next you assemble the layers.  After they are assembled and decorated, I attach the completed layer to the card base.  I haven’t added a sentiment to the inside of the cards yet.  So that will be my next step.

I hope this helps and feel free to ask me any questions.santa card kitsch20141018_194923 sleigh Kitsch card20141018_194935

Anna Griffin Christmas Kitsch cartridge by Cricut

Hi all,
Well I guess it is that time of year again. Of course it is my favorite time. I started some of my Christmas cards using Anna Griffin’s Christmas Kitsch cartridge by Cricut.. I do not have an explore yet. I love my expression so I used CCR to design my cards. They are very easy to put together. Everything was cut at 5.5 inches. Hope I can inspire some of you to get yours started too.Christmas Kitsch cards20141016_142959

Operation Write Home Midweek Throwdown:The Nature of Christmas

2013-10-10 16.23.30Hi all,

This week we were challenged to use an element of nature on our cards for our heroes to send home to their love ones.  I used the snowmen from Dollar Graphics Depot file called Frosty Long Stocking.  I think the images and their sentiments are adorable.  The scallop frame is from the Elegant Edges Cricut cartridge. I love this cartridge. It has some really nice shapes.

Wrap it Up My Craft Spot Challenge #79

Hi all,
I can not believe Christmas is less then 2 weeks away. This month seems to be flying by. 2012-12-13 08.34.21 I am also anxiously awaiting the birth of my 3rd grandchild due next week. I am trying to finish up all my cards and wrapping this week. I made this gift bag for my nail tech. I used the Cricut Forever Young cart for the purse and nail polish. The ornament is from the Cricut Artiste cart. I am entering this bag in My Craft Spot’s Wrap it up challenge.

Challenge #139 -Snow
Our challenge this week is to provide inspiration for those snowy days ahead.   I decided to use the cricut Winter Frolic cartridge and create a card for the holidays.  I cut my snowman at 3 inches and used a Martha Stewart punch for the snowflakes on the first one and a My Creative Time die for the second.  I added stickels to the flakes to give them some sparkle.  I used some KI memories paper that I had in my stash. I think the cards came out cute and plan on making a few more to send to my friends.

Dynamic Duos #31 {Light Green and Red} Challenge

2012-12-03 16.39.46For this week’s dynamic duos challenge we were to use certainly celery and real red.  I decided to pull out my Winter Frolic cricut cartridge and create a card for a friend.  She is an animal advocate, so I thought this would be the perfect card for her for the holidays.  I used Authentique paper and cut the shapes at 3 inches.  I also used the sentiment that comes with the image and cut it at 2 inches.  I added wiggley eyes and lots of diamond dust stickels to help make it sparkle. I think it came out cute. Sorry if my camera washed the colors out a little.
