Wedding Card

Hi all,

I made this card for my nephew’s wedding.  I used the cake and frame from free cards by bird.  I used 3 different types of white card stock.  I really like the way the all white looks.  The card base was embossed with hearts, the frame was white linen card stock and the cake was a combination of the linen and shiny white card stock.  I used pearls from Recollections and little pink roses from my stash.  The center panel with the cake is popped up using pop squares. This card is a little bigger then an A2 size.  It consisted of several layers and took quite a bit of time but  I like the way it came out.  I used my  Silhouette Cameo DE for all the cuts.  It was hard to get a good photo because of the white on white combination.

Valentine Cards for Children

Hi all.

I hope everyone is staying warm during all this frigid and snowy weather.  We had another 12 inches of snow today followed by sleet and possibly more snow tonight. We didn’t get mail today  so I am glad I already mailed my grand children their Valentine cards.  I hope they get them tomorrow.

I used images from the silhouette on-line store and the cut and print feature on my cameo.  The cards are 4.25 by 5.50.  I decided to use the z or s fold after I was inspired by Cardz tv’s card.   I used the cute owls for my two youngest grand children and the adorable dogs for the two older ones.

I hope you all have a wonderful and warm Valentine’s Day!20140211_194356 20140211_194409 20140211_194626 20140211_194653 20140211_194758(0) 20140211_194827 20140211_194853

Happy Valentine’s Day

Happy Valentine’s Day!! I hope you all get to spend some time with the special people in your lives.  My hubby is away on business but he and my daughter planned a special surprise for me this morning. This is the card I made for him and will give it to him when he gets home tomorrow.  I used the silhouette on-line store for the image. I got it during the Valentine sale. I think the sale is still going on if you want to check out their store.  I also use the K&Company paper pack for this card. It contains beautiful 2 sided paper perfect for Valentines or love cards.2013-02-11 15.42.512013-02-11 15.42.15 I used popdots for the banner and little pink heart to give some dimension. The inside of the card is a print and cut file.

Hugs!

OWH Sketch Challenge #143 with Tonic Studios!

Operation Write Home along with Tonic Studios has challenged us to create a card for our Troops using sketch #143.

Here’s the sketch…

I decided to create a card with a winter theme. I used Close To My Heart Artiste Cricut cartridge for the snowflakes and the coordinating winter stamp for the sentiment.  I used cuddlebug snowflake embossing folder for the background.  I highlighted the embossed snowflakes with Tim Holtz embossing ink. I added liquid pearls to the snowflake to give it a little dimension and sparkle.  I embellished the bow with a crystal from Megan Elizabeth | Above Rubies Studio

I love the blue and white colors together. The card measures 4.25 by 5.50.

Comments are always welcome.

Operation Write Home and Doodle Pantry Midweek Throwdown Color Challenge

OWH and Doodle Pantry have decided on a color challenge for this week’s throwdown.  They challenged us to make cards using black & white with a pop
of red or green
for our heroes to send home to their family and friends!

I used paper from Making Memories Wedding pack and a  rose sticker from Recollections.  I cut out the mini tag using My Creative Time teeny tag greetings. Hope you like my card.

Operation Write Home Blog Hop

I made these cards for Operation Write Home’s blog hop. We were to use a winter theme to make cards that our heroes could use to send home to their love ones.  The first one is made using  Close to My Heart winter sentiment and snowflakes from the Cricut Art Philosophy cartridge. I used liquid pearls to decorate the snowflakes and the ink was one of Megan’s little juicy stamp pads from Above Rubbies Studio.  I love the way the colors match. I added a little stickles to the bottom snowflake and popped up the sentiment and center snowflake to add demension.

The second card was made using the same cartridge and stamp set.  Only this time I used the OWH sketch 139 as my inspiration.  The pattern paper is from Recollections.  I used the liquid pearls again to add demension and sparkle and popped up the center snowflake.

I hope you are enjoying the card hop. Please consider joining us in making cards for our heroes. It is our way of saying thankyou and letting them know we care.  Feel free to leave a comment. I love reading them.

Operation Write Home’s VCMP challenge

OWH    Operation Write Home’s VCMP‘s next  challenge is to make a card with a snowflake theme but not Christmas.  This theme was selected by Cindy’s Card Co blog.  I used my cricut and paper from my stash to make this card.  I hope you enjoy it!!  Fun thinking of snow when the air conditioning is on. LOL

VCMP for OWH, ODBD challenge #1

ODBD challenge #1 for OWHI made this card for Operation Write Home’s Labor Day hop.  ODBD is sponsoring our first challenge.  We were to make a card with an encouraging sentiment.  I love making cards for OWH and encourage you to join us in this very rewarding endeavor.  Helping our troops stay in touch with their  love ones is one way of saying thankyou for all they do.

For this card I used the Martha Stwewart butterfly stamp. The sentiment is an Inkadinkado stamp.  I love this sentiment.

I hope everyone has a wonderful Labor Day weekend.  Enjoy the three days off.  I know I am.

Diaper Cakes

I made these diaper cakes for my daughter’s baby shower.  The theme was all about books and since her nickname is “bug” I included some “love bugs”.
