Pop-Up Birthday Cards Using Silhouette Print and Cut

Hi all,

Here are two birthday cards I made for my granddaughters using the Silhouette Print and Cut feature. They both have December birthdays.  One will be 5 and the other will be 2.  The older one loves anything Frozen and the younger one loves the Shrek movies.  The Anna, Elsa and the castle on the inside  are from the LD Ice Princess graphic set.  The Shrek is an image I traced.  The inside paper and cup cake are  Imagine That digi papers.  Both cards have pop-up surprises inside.  It is hard having a birthday  the Frozen card20141204_141430 frozen front20141204_141652 frozen popup inside20141204_141444 Shrek20141204_141344 inside cupcake pop up20141204_141414 week before Christmas but we try to make them very special.

Male Birthday Card

Hi all,

Today is my husband’s birthday.  I find male birthday cards hard to make.  I guess I just love frilly things.   I used  paper from a  6×6 pack I purchased at AC Moore.  The cake is a cut and print using my Cameo.  I welded the 64 to the top of the cake.  I also used the paint feature to color the candles to match the cake.  The inside is also a file from the silhouette on-line store. I added some glitter with the Wink of Stella pens. birthday cake20141113_083203 front cake20141113_082954 close up cake20141113_083037 inside bday card20141113_083126

Shaped Birthday Card

Hi all,

Today I made a shaped birthday card using LD Birthday Fishes file.  I brought the image of the Octopus to the Cameo mat.  Then I made 2 offsets to get the layers for the image  to sit on.  I duplicated the image and moved to the side.  Then I created a box for the image to be welded to.  Once that was done, I mirrored the image to the left and welded the two shapes to form the card.  I used the cut and print feature to create the water with the sentiment.  I  separated the duplicated image ( saved from above) and cut each layer out. I then cut all the layers out and assembled the card.  I was able to match the colors for the layers by using the eyedropper and color bucket in the silhouette.

Fun Birthday Card for Male

Hi all,

I don’t know about you but I find it very hard to make a card for a male.  My brother-in-law’s birthday is coming up and I decided to make this Fun Birthday Card for him.  I used the SVG Cutting File’s Santa’s Helper – FARRAH #PP-1025 and their Fold Over Card Base Essentials #PP-1021 for the card base.   I used the print and cut feature on my Cameo for the image as some of the pieces were too small when I tried cutting them out.  My card is an A2 size card so the image had to be cut at about 3.5 inches in order to fit. I added some bling on her shoes and belt. 2014-01-29 11.42.54                                                                                                               Since he is turning 65,  I figured a sexy girl on the card would give him a laugh.

Artiste Cupcake Birthday Card

Hi all,

Exploring Cricut is celebrating its 3rd birthday with

a birthday challenge to create a card/project with a birthday theme and a button, brad or jem.

I used the Close to My Heart Artiste Cartridge for the cupcake card and the Sweet Treats Cartridge for the flower.

I am entering this card in the Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Create a project using at least one Cricut cut letter or number.

Sorry if the pics are not the best.  The colors are so pretty in person.

Male birthday card and OWH challenge using Silhouette

Hi,

Here is another birthday card I made for the OWH birthday challenge. I find male themed cards very hard to make. I think this one works great for a male birthday card. I used my silhouette and the print and cut feature to create the car card.  I purchased the car shape card from silhouette online store. If you haven’t tried the cut and print feature, I highly recommend giving it a go. There are 2013-02-04 14.42.112013-02-04 14.41.43a lot of videos on you tube that explain how it works. It really is very easy. The stamps for my card are from Close to My Heart. I paper pieced them on the card. I really like the way the card came out and plan on making one for my brother-in-law with his name on the license plate instead of USA.

child birthday card CTM Artiste and Teddy Bear on Parade Cartridges

Hi all,
I wanted to share this birthday card I made for my granddaughter’s third birthday.
It is a shape card using the cupcake from the CTM Cricut Artiste Cartridge. The teddy bear is from the  Teddy Bear on Parade lite cartridge.  I love these cartridges. They have everything you could ever need. I am going to make several more of these without the birthday number for Operation Write Home.  I could put a cherry on top instead. They are requesting birthday cards for children this month.2012-11-29 13.32.01
