Candy Canes and Square1 Printable

Hi all,

Well I have made my first Christmas Decoration–Candy Canes using Square1 Masterpiece Printable-see more info here http://shop.square1masterpiece.com/?Click=657. The printable material is also removable.   The candy canes were a freebie from Miss Kate Cuttables.  I used the print and cut feature on my Cameo and the  silhouette DE vinyl setting to cut it out.  They peeled off their backing easily. When the holidays are over, I can remove them from the candle holders and save them for next year.  It is important to keep the backing sheet so you can place them back on it for storage.candycanes candle20141118_164733 candycane candle holder20141118_164743

Santa and Snowman envelope bags

Hi all,

My daughter asked if I could make some Holiday gift envelopes for her. I found these adorable Santa and Snowman short envelope bags in the Silhouette store.  They go together easily.  Good thing since she needs around 60 of them.

Christmas Kitsch by Anna Griffin Reindeer Card

Hi all,

I am loving the Anna Griffin Christmas Kitsch cartridge.  Today I made the reindeer shape card.  He is so cute.   However, I felt he needed a little something else.  So I found the string of tangled lights on the Winter Frolic Cricut Cartridge.

reindeer 1 20141029_204050 reindeer 4 20141029_204211 reindeer 2 20141029_204119 reindeer 3 20141029_204134   I sized everything to 5.5 so it will fit in an A2 size envelope.  There are envelopes on the cartridge but I haven’t tried them yet.  I added lots of  red stickels to his nose and scarf.   I also used gold wink of stella glitter brush for his ears and face.  The sentiment is also from the Christmas Kitsch cartridge.  I cut it at 2 inches.  The paper is from a 6×6 pack I got at ACMoore.

Anna Griffin Christmas Kitsch Cards

Hi all,

I was asked about how I made these cards using Anna Griffin’s Christmas Kitsch cartridge and my Cricut.   First,  I have an expression so I use CCR.  On the bottom of CCR , there is a default setting of 2.5 for bringing all images to the mat.  I changed that to 5.5.  Then when I bring my images to the mat- they all will fit appropriately.   I first cut out the card base and then cut all the corresponding layers.  Next you assemble the layers.  After they are assembled and decorated, I attach the completed layer to the card base.  I haven’t added a sentiment to the inside of the cards yet.  So that will be my next step.

I hope this helps and feel free to ask me any questions.santa card kitsch20141018_194923 sleigh Kitsch card20141018_194935

Anna Griffin Christmas Kitsch cartridge by Cricut

Hi all,
Well I guess it is that time of year again. Of course it is my favorite time. I started some of my Christmas cards using Anna Griffin’s Christmas Kitsch cartridge by Cricut.. I do not have an explore yet. I love my expression so I used CCR to design my cards. They are very easy to put together. Everything was cut at 5.5 inches. Hope I can inspire some of you to get yours started too.Christmas Kitsch cards20141016_142959

Challenge #139 -Snow
Our challenge this week is to provide inspiration for those snowy days ahead.   I decided to use the cricut Winter Frolic cartridge and create a card for the holidays.  I cut my snowman at 3 inches and used a Martha Stewart punch for the snowflakes on the first one and a My Creative Time die for the second.  I added stickels to the flakes to give them some sparkle.  I used some KI memories paper that I had in my stash. I think the cards came out cute and plan on making a few more to send to my friends.

Operation Write Home Midweek Throwdown Winter Fun

2012-10-14 20.00.41This week OWH challenged us to make Winter themed cards that are fun for our heroes to send home
to their family and friends! I made both of these cards using the Cricut Very Merry Tags cartridge.  I had a lot of fun using this cartridge and plan on making several other cards from the cuts on it.  I used a little liquid pearl to add a bit of pop to the snowflake and his eyes.  The second card is a try fold card. I used my cuddlebug snowflake folder for the background.  I made the button with a Martha Stewart punch. The sentiment on the first card is a Fiskars stamp.

I plan on making a few more of these to include in my box of cards to OWH.

OWH Sketch Challenge #143 with Tonic Studios!

Operation Write Home along with Tonic Studios has challenged us to create a card for our Troops using sketch #143.

Here’s the sketch…

I decided to create a card with a winter theme. I used Close To My Heart Artiste Cricut cartridge for the snowflakes and the coordinating winter stamp for the sentiment.  I used cuddlebug snowflake embossing folder for the background.  I highlighted the embossed snowflakes with Tim Holtz embossing ink. I added liquid pearls to the snowflake to give it a little dimension and sparkle.  I embellished the bow with a crystal from Megan Elizabeth | Above Rubies Studio

I love the blue and white colors together. The card measures 4.25 by 5.50.

Comments are always welcome.
