Valentine Box Card from SVGCuts

Hi all,

I know it has been awhile since I posted.  I have been dealing with health issues with my mom.  So far the treatments seem to be working.  Lots of dr. visits.  Hoping 2016 is a better year.

I made these Valentine Boxes for my grandchildren.  They are from SVGCuts.com and were fairly easy to put together.  I used Tombow  glue for the box and it gave a good seal.  I also made the envelope provided  for the box and it fit perfectly.  I used a lot of papers from my stash.  Hope you like them!  The kiddies did.Valentine box2016-02-10 08.02.06

#Cards4Love Christmas in July to Support the Children at St. Jude’s Hospital

Hi all,

I have 12 cards ready to mail for the #Cards4Love-Christmas in July project.  Ken and George from Crafts By Two are organizing the event.  If you would like to take part you can find the information at  http://bit.ly/Cards4Love.  You can also make cards for the soldiers to receive.  This is a wonderful way to give to two very special groups of people.

Here are the cards I made so far.20150810_142452

Valentine Mailbox Box Card

Hi all,

I made two of these SVGCuts Valentine Mailbox Cards for my grandchildren.  I love SVGCut files. I used paper I purchased last year. The boxes came together easy but still are time-consuming.  They are an act of love. I suggest using a very strong adhesive on the box to hold it together.

Birthday Pop UP Card

Hi all,

Well now that the holidays are over, I  have been working on replenishing my card stock.   Today I made a birthday pop up card.  The card base is from the silhouette on-line store Happy Birthday / Cupcake Sentiment Set Scallop Pop-Up Card Set.  I love how this card came together.  I changed it up a little by adding the cute cup cake girl image from SVG Cutting files.  The papers were from my stash.  I used my Cameo for the cuts.  I used a Peachy Keen stamp for her cute face.

Pop-Up Birthday Cards Using Silhouette Print and Cut

Hi all,

Here are two birthday cards I made for my granddaughters using the Silhouette Print and Cut feature. They both have December birthdays.  One will be 5 and the other will be 2.  The older one loves anything Frozen and the younger one loves the Shrek movies.  The Anna, Elsa and the castle on the inside  are from the LD Ice Princess graphic set.  The Shrek is an image I traced.  The inside paper and cup cake are  Imagine That digi papers.  Both cards have pop-up surprises inside.  It is hard having a birthday  the Frozen card20141204_141430 frozen front20141204_141652 frozen popup inside20141204_141444 Shrek20141204_141344 inside cupcake pop up20141204_141414 week before Christmas but we try to make them very special.

Missing You Card for OWH

Hi all,

Today I made a missing you card for OWH.  The image is a print and cut from the Silhouette on line store.  The sentiment is  a stamp I purchased at Michael’s.  l have several different  missing you cards that I made and plan to include  in my box  of cards to OWH.    This card is a combination of Cameo and Cricut cuts.  I used my Cameo for the print and cut and my Cricut Expression and Elegant Edges for the mat.missing you dog20140815_100231

I am also entering this card in Pause Dream Enjoy’s Linky party.

Shaped Birthday Card

Hi all,

Today I made a shaped birthday card using LD Birthday Fishes file.  I brought the image of the Octopus to the Cameo mat.  Then I made 2 offsets to get the layers for the image  to sit on.  I duplicated the image and moved to the side.  Then I created a box for the image to be welded to.  Once that was done, I mirrored the image to the left and welded the two shapes to form the card.  I used the cut and print feature to create the water with the sentiment.  I  separated the duplicated image ( saved from above) and cut each layer out. I then cut all the layers out and assembled the card.  I was able to match the colors for the layers by using the eyedropper and color bucket in the silhouette.

Castle Box Card

Hi all,

Today I made a Castle Box Card for my granddaughter’s birthday.  The file is from SVGCuts.  You can find it at SVGCuts.com.  It was fairly easy to put together.  I cut all the pieces with my Cameo. I also added vellum behind the windows and door.  The jewels and little flowers were from my stash.  I often cut out extra little pieces to keep on hand.  I am also making her a My Little Pony Rainbow Dash shirt (her favorite pony)  and will share that later.   Castle front2014-06-02 19.30.06
