Hi,
I made this Artiste Swing Birthday Card for my sister who is turning 60 tomorrow. I used the Close to My Heart Artiste Cartridge for all the cuts including the number 60 and sentiment inside. I am entering this card in the Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Create a project using at least one Cricut cut letter or number.

Hi, The final challenge is to use a negative of a die or punch.
I used the negative cut of my shape on the butterfly paper and stamped my sentiment in the space created when I taped it onto my card. I used a Martha Stewart stamp for the butterfly, colored it with Tombow Dual Brush pens and hand cut it out.

I have been busy making cards for Operation Write Home. This week’s challenge was to make a card with a fun fold. I chose a swing birthday cake card that I got from the 
on-line store. I decorated the front of the card with Tim Holtz distress inks. I used the cut outs for the cake as masks for the front. The icing layer on the front of the card was a Martha Stewart stamp I purchased during Halloween. I love using my stash for things other than what they were intended for. I used Recollections paper for the base and
insi
de of the card. I added a little stickles to the candles on the front.
I had a lot of fun making this card.

I made this card for the Dynamic Duo’s color challenge. We were to use the color combination turquoise and black. It is hard to see in my picture but the outfits were colored with turquoise and black. The stamps are from Close to My Heart. I used Tombow dual brush pens and Recollections paper. I love the sentiment. It is sooo true. LOL

Here is another birthday card I made for the OWH birthday challenge. I find male themed cards very hard to make. I think this one works great for a male birthday card. I used my silhouette and the print and cut feature to create the car card. I purchased the car shape card from silhouette online store. If you haven’t tried the cut and print feature, I highly recommend giving it a go. There are 
a lot of videos on you tube that explain how it works. It really is very easy. The stamps for my card are from Close to My Heart. I paper pieced them on the card. I really like the way the card came out and plan on making one for my brother-in-law with his name on the license plate instead of USA.

I wanted to share this birthday card I made for my granddaughter’s third birthday.
It is a shape card using the cupcake from the CTM Cricut Artiste Cartridge. The teddy bear is from the Teddy Bear on Parade lite cartridge. I love these cartridges. They have everything you could ever need. I am going to make several more of these without the birthday number for Operation Write Home. I could put a cherry on top instead. They are requesting birthday cards for children this month.

I hope everyone had a great holiday. I was blessed with a new granddaughter on Dec.18. Absolutely the best Christmas present. Now I need to start a scrap book for her.
My brother in law’s birthday is in Dec. I find it hard to make cards for men. I found this shape card on the Artiste Cricut cartridge. It really came out cute. Sorry for the bad pic. I made a G on his pocket. Can you guess what his name begins with?
Well we survived Hurricane Sandy. Lost power for a day and some tree damage
but we were lucky compared to others.
I made two cards for this challenge. One for a female and one for a male. I find
male cards hard to design. This sketch was a lot of fun. I plan on using
it again.

I hope everyone is having a great week. It is hard to believe October is almost over.
This week OWH has challenged us to make friendship cards for our troops to send home.
I made this card using the Country Life Cricut cartridge. I cut the little pig and hen at 4 inches. I added liquid pearls to the pig , hen and sun for dimension. I also used glossy accents. The paper for the background is from the cricut celebrations paper pack. The ticket stamp is a Close to My Heart stamp and the little tag and sentiment is from teeny tag sentiments by My Creative Time. The finished card measures 5.50 by 4.25.
