Anniversary card using Silhouette Cameo

Hi all,

I can’t believe my daughter celebrated her 5th wedding anniversary already.  So much has happened in the last 5 years. All good though.  She now has two children and a new job she enjoys.

Here is a card I made for her using my silhouette cameo and a step card from their on-line store.

The paper is from a wedding pack I purchased at Michaels.2013-05-31 12.34.52

Operation Write Home Midweek Throwdown X 3

Hi all,

I know I have been away from this blog for a while but I have had a lot happen. I had another grandchild born which was such a blessing. I spent a lot of time with my daughter after the birth.  I also had surgery to remove my gall bladder.  I am feeling so much better now. Needless to say I have been itching to get back into my craft room.

Operation Write Home put up another challenge this week. They are challenging us to use something on our card three times, an embellishment, stamped image  etc.  for our heroes to send home to their family and friends!

I made this thank you card using my silhouette.  The flower-pot and sentiment were from their on-line store.  I used paper from my stash and flowers from Michael’s. I love the colors.

Please keep the people in Oklahoma in your thoughts.  They need all the prayers and help we can give.20130522_152808

I hope you all have a great week and enjoy this Memorial Day Weekend.

Hi,

This is a quick post to show you some of the Mother’s Day  cards I have been working on for Operation Write Home.  I used my Silhouette Cameo and the print and cut feature to cut out the sentiment from their on-line store.  The tag was made using a My Creative Time die. The paper is from my stash.2013-03-15 09.57.412013-03-15 09.53.422013-03-15 09.52.50

Thinking of You Card for Operation Write Home

20130313_143521Hi,

I know it has been awhile since my last post.  I have a new grandson and have been helping my daughter.  I have been fortunate to have two new grandbabies born. One in December and one end of February.  The joy they bring is beyond measure.

I made this card for Operation Write Home and Dynamic Duo and their color challenge for this week. We were challenged to make a card using blue and green. The card is 4.25 by 5.5. I used my cameo and the print and cut feature. The little bird is from the silhouette on line store. The blue background paper is from DCWV.

Silhouette Birthday Swing Card for Operation Write Home

Hi,

I have been busy making cards for Operation Write Home.  This week’s challenge was to make a card with a fun fold.  I chose a swing birthday cake card that I  got from the 2013-02-21 13.54.42 on-line store.  I decorated the front of the card with Tim Holtz distress inks.  I used the cut outs for the cake as masks for the front.   The icing layer on the front of the card was a  Martha Stewart stamp I purchased during Halloween. I love using my stash for things other than what they were intended for.  I used Recollections paper for the base and2013-02-21 13.53.36 insi2013-02-21 13.54.26de of the card.  I added a little stickles to the candles on the front.

I had a lot of fun making this card.

Happy Valentine’s Day

Happy Valentine’s Day!! I hope you all get to spend some time with the special people in your lives.  My hubby is away on business but he and my daughter planned a special surprise for me this morning. This is the card I made for him and will give it to him when he gets home tomorrow.  I used the silhouette on-line store for the image. I got it during the Valentine sale. I think the sale is still going on if you want to check out their store.  I also use the K&Company paper pack for this card. It contains beautiful 2 sided paper perfect for Valentines or love cards.2013-02-11 15.42.512013-02-11 15.42.15 I used popdots for the banner and little pink heart to give some dimension. The inside of the card is a print and cut file.

Hugs!

Debbie

Valentine Card

This is a Valentine’s Day card I made for my favorite loves. I used the owl from the silhouette on-line store and the paper is from K&Company. The sentiment inside is from LetteringDelights.  I added some stickles and Martha Stewart red twine. I am entering this card in the CRAFTY CARDZ CHALLENGE and My Craft Spot Monday Challenge #86 For Your Sweetheart. I hope you all have a wonderful Valentine’s Day!

Valentine’s Day Card

Hi,

Today I made a Valentine’s Day card for my mom.  She loves her coffee so I thought this would be perfect for her. I am enclosing a Dunkin Donuts card inside (her favorite place).  I used my Silhouette Cameo and a cut file from the on-line store to create the cup. The punch is a Martha Stewart heart border punch. I also used Martha Stewart red embossing powder for the sentiment. The paper is from K&Company. I used My Creative Time Gift Card Sentiments for the stamp.

This was so easy to put together. I cut two of the cups, one in white and one in the print, and paper pieced them together. I used pop dots to adhere the cup to give it some dimension.

I am entering this card in Scrappy Moms Stamps Terrific 2013-02-06 09.42.01-3Tuesday Challenge and Dynamic Duos Color Challenge.

Get Well Card for Lesson 1 of Clean & Simple Card Making On Line Class

Hi.

I am taking the On Line Class Clean and Simple Card Making. Today I made a get well card for a friend using the strategy taught in lesson 1.  I made my own mask using my silhouette cameo. It cuts extremely well especially for all the tiny cuts in this 2013-02-05 13.59.03cut. I think it might have been one of the freebies that came with my silhouette cameo. I used Tim Holtz lavender distress ink for the mask and sentiment.

I am loving this class and all the new strategies I am learning. The videos are well done and they include PDF if you want to have a paper copy.

I think my friend will enjoy this card. I hope it brightens her day.
